Completed in 2014, this new, 9,200 sq ft veterinary hospital in the Lake Grove neighborhood of Lake Oswego, Oregon, includes specialty care spaces for cardiology, water therapy, and acupuncture, in addition to the traditional program of reception lobby, labs, exam rooms, and administrative support areas. It was the first building permitted under the expanded Lake Grove Design District guidelines. One of the challenges to the project was providing large amounts of code required, ground floor, windows while minimizing distracting outdoor views for animals in treatment. C2K Architecture also provided real estate development services, including negotiating a shared-surface parking lot with neighboring businesses and integrating a pedestrian-oriented “festival street” into the site.
