FIVE MARYS RANCH HOUSE
Fort Jones, California
The Five Marys Ranch House design exemplifies the simple elegance of agrarian farmhouses. Located at the base of the forested hills of Sharp’s Gulch, overlooking the 1,800-acre Five Marys Ranch, the home blends the warmth and character of the community with a contemporary aesthetic. As the stained cedar siding naturally weathers, it will take on a unique character only Northern California can offer. The deep porch roof creates a horizon line connecting the house and barn, providing protection from the hot summer sun and snowy winters, giving the family ample outdoor living space.
Reclaimed wood planks line the interior walls, providing a feeling of warmth, while reclaimed timbers accentuate the structure of the home. Flagstone taken from the hills of the ranch is used on the floors and hearth, symbolizing the foundation and heart of the home. It is a home that embodies the land on which it’s built and one intended to span generations.
