Currently under construction and expected to open in February of 2020, this new 50,000 sq ft, Pre-K through 8th grade charter school is designed on the grounds of the Nellis Air Force Base in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Amenities for the school include a multi-purpose room, library, administrative offices, support spaces and playgrounds. The classrooms are organized by grade in color-coded blocks to echo the academic progression of students through their studies. Each block is oriented around a central, interior courtyard that can be used for outdoor assemblies and other gatherings. The project required extensive coordination with the U.S. Air Force and adherence to base design and security guidelines.
