The Baobab Apartments is a proposed 53,100 sq ft six-story mixed-use apartment building with a private ground floor parking garage. The project consists of fifty-two (52) residential units, a 910 sq ft corner retail space, lobby/lounge area, bike room, study rooms, and a clubroom with an elevated outdoor courtyard. Baobab will be located adjacent to California State University Sacramento, along Folsom Blvd and 66th Street in East Sacramento. The white and copper panel facade is an abstract interpretation of the baobab tree, which is characteristically known for its broad-based trunk and sharply angled branches. The copper toned glow reflects the trees' native African and Australian sunsets.
