Alfa is a seven-story mixed-use building located on an approx 6,000 SF site at the corner of 18th St and Kayak Alley in midtown Sacramento. The building has twenty-four (24) residential units and retail space on the street level. The proposed mid-block project’s design takes advantage of the smaller lot size by maximizing the building’s height. The façade design is inspired by a jewelry box, in which a simple form with simple materials is elevated in its design by the use of fine detail and fine accent finishes “inlayed” within the primary form. The project is currently in for entitlements with the City of Sacremento.
